Update

Since I've been a big slacker lately I decided I better write an update of what's going on with us. Nothing really exciting has happen but a few good things have I guess. Karson's in his third semester of school right now and working really hard to pass all his classes. If he didn't have to take math he'd probably actually enjoy school a little bit, but he's doing great! He's also the 11 yr old scout leader. As much as he says the boys drive him crazy, I know he really enjoys the break from school and work. On top of school and scouts he's working really hard. He keeps saying everyday that he things work might be slowing down for the season, but we'll see. Saturday will be his last day for refereeing little league football. He says he loves it but I'll be glad to have him done so we can have our Saturdays back.
I've been busy working like crazy to hopefully save a little extra money for Christmas and so we can buy our house next spring. I don't know about this buying a house stuff though. It's kinda scary. I'm starting to miss the days of going out every weekend to movies or dinner or just whatever I wanted. I wonder now why I was so excited to be a "grown up." But with all the stress I know that everything will work out how its supposed to. I got a new job with a company call Utah Hospice Specialists. I'm still working full time at Davis Hospital so this is just going to be part time I think. I know it sounds crazy but I absolutely love working for Hospice. I never in a million years thought that I would love taking care of elderly people. It is the best job in the world. What better job can you get than to go hang out with your grandparents everyday. I love to hear their stories and just learn from there lives.
The only other real exciting thing that happened the last month was my cute little brother (who's not very little anymore) got his Eagle. He's the last of all my boy cousins and uncles to get theirs. It was a really cool thing. He's such an awesome brother! Kars and I are so proud of him! We just love going to his football games. He's such a good example to me! Kars always says that he couldn't have asked for a better little brother even when he's being so obnoxious! We love you Bub!!!!

Thanks to my sister we always have pictures of everything. So thanks for letting me steal your pictures for my post. :)

Awesome post Kate! Good to hear you guys are doing well. Now it's your turn to come down for a visit! :) I hear ya on the whole "why did I want to grow up" thing. I've felt the same way. In fact, I felt it again this weekend when I was shopping with your mom, Kourt & Kar. Kourt was buying whatever she wanted because she just got paid and only has 1 bill, so she can spend her dollars on whatever. I was so jealous she was just buying whatever she felt like. I didn't buy one thing and believe me, there were many things I could have bought. But now with us living in a house, and going to Disneyland this weekend and then Tyler's b-day coming up, then it's Christmas, I just can't afford to buy extra things for me. It SUCKS!!! Ya, I so totally agree on the fact that buying a house is stressful and NOT fun! I seriously don't understand how people buy and sell houses all the time. I'm just not cut out for it I guess! And, I'm sure it gets easier and more familiar the more you do it, but STILL! It's very stressful! So, I'm totally feelin' where you're coming from! It's fun being a grown up, but not fun at times too. Just wait till you have kids and you're up in the night with them. Add that on top of everything else. NOT FUN! Kids are awesome, but seriously, don't have them until YOU are ready! :) I love ya! Come visit when you guys can! xoxo

Yay for an update! That's cool you are thinkingo f buying that house. Yes, doing the whole buying thing is a little crazy but I think it's worth it. It's nice to be able to know you own a home, it feels good.
